FAIRLIE quay temporary exclusion zone

NATO SUBMARINE RESCUE SYSTEM EXERCISE 

Mariners are advised that the NATO Submarine Rescue System Exercise will take place around Fairlie Quay N55.46 W004 51.8 from Monday 23rd March, and is due to complete on or around 1200 on 27th March. A temporary Exclusion Zone to a distance of approximately 500 metres from the jetty face will be in force for the period of the exercise.

The underwater vehicle will operate from Fairlie Quay edge between 08:30 and 18:00
daily, or thereabouts, during the period of the exercise. A safety boat will be in
operation to support the underwater vehicle and will maintain a listening watch on VHF
Channel 12 and 16.

All vessels passing Fairlie Quay should remain outside the temporary Exclusion Zone and are asked to reduce their speed when passing by to minimise the effects of wash.
